Here is our first Grocery Haul! 99% of it is Organic and from local farms!

Better Way to Health

So. Here I sit. Ready to type out a million things. I’ll will try to sum it up because Blake (my 2 year old) is soon to wake up from his nap and I have a limited amount of time!

We, as a family, are changing our lifestyle. Our goal is to get fit, active and most importantly to eat healthy. We are serious! We went to a more natural store and bought mostly all organic fruits/veggies. I mean, we bought a lot. Like, the whole store! Ok, not the whole store, but $225.00 worth! omygeebies!

We also bought a juicer and a food processor to make salads. So far we’ve had the following meals:

Baked potato w/ sauteed garlic, red onion and mushroom (seasoned with rosemary, ginger and salt!)
Salad: Romaine lettuce, carrot, zucchini, cauliflower and red pepper. We got a very good organic dressing and measured out 2 tablespoons. So delicious!
Juice: Bunch of spinach, 2 apples, 1 lemon, 12 carrots and an orange
Tricolor Pasta: Made out of spinach and other yummy ingredients. Boiled, put in freezer for 10 minutes to cool off. Added red bell pepper and aforementioned dressing along with a little salt and pepper!
We’ve also been eating mango, bananas, oranges and apples for snacks.
I could go on and on. This is just the beginning! I plan to juice more but so far we’ve cut out all dairy, red meats and nearly all boxed/processed foods.

My skin (after only 3 days) has improved quite a bit! It’s much softer (my face) and my acne scars are smaller! I’ve lost 2 pounds in 2 days. So has my husband. I will post pictures of our grocery haul a little later when I get more time!
